Naracoorte Inter Church Council Chaplaincy fund
By Norma Davis The Naracoorte Interchurch Council (made up from members of the various Christian Churches in Naracoorte) has been supporting the School Chaplains, now called Pastoral Care Workers, in Naracoorte’s three public schools for over 40 years. It is our pleasure and delight as ICC members to share in the appointment of Pastoral Care Workers to the three public schools in Naracoorte. The school benefits from having an extra staff member, who is a staff member without a class to teach, and who is therefore free to help children and teachers in many different ways. The Interchurch Council works under the umbrella of S.A. Schools Ministry Association through which PCW’s are paid the Federal and State funding which is allocated each year. That funding pays for about 12 hours of paid work each week. As well, twice a year we seek donations from the churches, from church goers, from […]
Naracoorte Greenbottles Hockey Club
By Mick Derrington Thank you for the contribution of $500 towards our hockey club. We will use the funds to go towards new goalie equipment for our senior goalies. In recent years we have upgraded the junior goalie equipment so they have the best & sadly some of the senior equipment now needs a birthday. Our club in recent years have been the most successful in the association in terms of premierships & also numbers. We are a very socially family focussed club with mums & dads & kids of the same family all playing. We welcome new families & players of all ages to come along. If you want to watch for a few weeks before picking up a stick, we welcome this as this is how many people begin to play. If anyone is interested in playing, please contact Club President, Mick Derrington on 0419 120 983. Editor’s […]

Lucindale Economic Development Board Inc (LINC)
By Abigail Goodman The Lucindale Economic Development Board Inc (LINC) aims to be the link between community ideas and making them happen. It was established 20 years ago to promote the development of the Lucindale district and community by developing projects, identifying funding opportunities and acting as an umbrella body for various community organisations/projects. LINC organises the community Christmas party each year, including a parade and Santa visit, and in 2022 we also had market stalls run by local children and highly competitive yabby racing! One of our current projects is raising funds to support a Lucindale community member to participate in the Limestone Coast Emerging Leaders Program. The Program develops personal leadership skills, knowledge of the region and a broad network of professional and community contacts. Participants will grow in emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and skills in working with and leading others, which will benefit their communities and our entire […]
