People still getting sick

By Chris Oldfield COVID, various types of influenza and “man-flu” as well as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are making some people very sick throughout the district. The Federal Government announced last February it was closing the Naracoorte Respiratory Clinic. But that did not mean the end of COVID or other respiratory illnesses for residents and visitors. “COVID is certainly still going through Naracoorte at the moment,” Dr Jeffery Taylor said. In 2020 Dr Taylor of Kincraig Medical Clinic was the first doctor rostered for the government’s respiratory clinic. Now three years later, there have been some big changes regarding COVID. “The big advantage now is with most people having had their vaccinations, and also having access to antivirals, we’ve been able to mitigate the severity of COVID dramatically,” Dr Taylor said. “So, people are a lot more aware (and) they want to get themselves tested early. “Some people breeze through […]
