SE Veteran golf results: 15 June 2026 By Max Clifford A field of 48 players travelled to Kingston despite a threatening forecast and managed to complete the round before the showers arrived. The course was presented in magnificent condition and thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The first division winner was Mount Gambier’s Daryl Hutchins with 37 points, from Millicent’s Steve Forsyth and Robe’s Gordie Fleming both with 36 points. Daryl is currently riding a winning streak and added an Eagle to it on the 2nd, with a good drive and then flushing his 5 wood into the hole from 165 metres. In division 2, it was Bordertown’s Kevin Obst on 35, counting out Millicent’s Glen Tilley, and then Mount Gambier’s Max Clifford with 34.  The Ross Orchard trophy went to Baz Turnbull and Tank Thompson. Naracoorte Table Tennis A Grade winter season – Round By Michael Waters The winter A grade season of table tennis started on June 15 with six teams competing. A couple of players have made the move from B grade to A grade, and there were a couple of returning players. JKK had the biggest win of the night when they defeated VML 8 games to 4. For VML, Victor and Michael played well winning two singles each, while Lucilo found the step up to A grade pretty tough, although he did take a set off Kevan, and as the season progresses he will certainly get better. By Bridging the Gap Twenty-eight members enjoyed playing 28 bridge boards at Bridge@Bowls at the Naracoorte Bowling Club. It was great seeing fresh faces back at the club and thank you Sue Munro for sharing some garden bulbs.  All members are invited to a Winter Funfest bridge day on July 23. There is no need to organise a partner, just wear a ‘hat’ and enjoy the frivolities plus novelties on the day. Bridge commences at 10am, lunch will be provided followed by more bridge finishing midafternoon. The cost will be $20/player and there will be free raffles and prizes to envy.  Last week’s winners for EW with a fabulous 63.39% were Ruth Dennis/Julia Arnold, an impressive result considering their recent absence from bridge. KNTNA A Grade match reports – Round 10 (462w) By Sally Bywater Keith v Mundulla Keith and Mundulla played out a competitive contest with the match evenly poised throughout the first quarter. Keith held a one goal advantage at the first break (10-9) after both sides showed strong intensity and determination.  Keith lifted their defensive pressure in the second quarter, forcing turnovers and capitalising on their opportunities to extend their lead to 6 goals by half time, 25-19. Sophie Makin was outstanding in goals for Keith, shooting accurately and providing a strong target in attack, while Tillee Jones (Keith) was influential in defence with her relentless pressure and ability to win crucial possessions.  Mundulla responded well after the main break, making changes that helped shift the momentum. There is plenty happening across the Naracoorte Library and Town Hall over the next few weeks. The Limestone Coast Orchestra will perform at the Town Hall on Sunday, June 28 at 2pm. The orchestra brings together musicians from across the region and tickets will be available at the door. On Friday, July 3 at 7.30 pm, The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be screened as a community fundraiser. School holiday activities begin soon with our Roar and Explore theme, celebrating all things dinosaurs and megafauna. Professor Flint will return to the library with four hands-on science and art sessions for children, while our popular Town Hall Holiday Movies program also returns from July 6.
