Negotiations on

By Nasik Swami. The South Australian Education Union and the state government are still at loggerheads over better pay and conditions for public educators. Union president Andrew Gohl told this newspaper that the parties have not reached any agreement yet, and their executives “will determine whether industrial action is needed” again. Top Mark: a lifetime of partnership

Top Mark: a lifetime of partnership

By Michael Waite, Founder/Volunteer, Naracoorte News. THANK YOU team Top Mark!  On behalf of The News team we want to express our gratitude to Trevor and Gail Pfeiffer and the entire Top Mark team for their advertising in The News.  Top Mark has adorned a page in The News every week since we asked for their support of our new community newspaper.  Literally we asked them in time for edition #2 on 13 May 2020 and they have supported your local paper – essentially helped ensure its survival – every edition since, up to and including today’s feature in issue 167. My friendship with Trevor and Gail’s late son Daniel was an incredibly special one. Daniel and I grew up going to Naracoorte Primary, riding bikes, playing hockey, and having a whole lot of fun together.  There was already so much emotion tied up in the launch of The News, […]

Owners call it a day

It’s not easy to let go of something that you have built from strength to strength. Letting go can be hard because it means letting go of aspects of your past—aspects of you.
