On Sunday 4th February, the Naracoorte Hunt Pony Club hosted a rally for their members. Lucy and Tilly Bennet, Ella Croker, Sophie Munro, Eliza and Alice ward and Fliss and Belle Orton and Tahnee Dodgson attended. The girls were decided into 3 groups for Edwina Price to give jumping instructions, which was very kind of her to do in the heat.

Both of the local hopes were knocked out of the Millicent & Naracoorte Cricket Association finals in thumping defeats last Saturday. Millicent and Rendelsham will now play in this Saturday’s grand final after they had big wins in last weekend’s semi-finals over Lucindale and Naracoorte Warriors respectively.

I was driving down Smith St when the deer shooting association were having their BBQ outside the town hall! I did not realise I was so close to death! Chris Oldfield said that the BBQ patrons were at risk of being shot ‘by aerial mounted shotguns guided by military grade infrared vision systems.’

Naracoorte White and Naracoorte Red displayed some great tennis today, with two of the doubles going to tie breakers, with each team winning one. There were some wonderful rallies had in the singles games and the scores didn’t reflect how well everyone was hitting the ball.
