Conditions were perfect for baseball as The Naracoorte Rangers hosted Millicent on Saturday. Ken Sisson pitched and Brady Fox caught for Naracoorte. Millicent found it difficult to get bat on ball with no runs scored in their first innings.

Just over 12 months ago the Naracoorte Ladies Probus Club was the recipient of $500.00 from The News Give Back Program. The $500 was used this month to subsidise a bus trip to Nelson, where members and guests spent an enjoyable cruise with the Glenelg River Cruises.

Robe Bowling Club report

Robe played midweek pennant home against Mt Gambier and had a win, Robe 49 shots 6pts def Mt Gambier 40-2. The team of Rob Lawrie, birthday girl Helen Lynch, Jim Gray and Steve Farrell took the lead on the 6th end against James Farren’s team and were never headed, winning 29 shots to Mt Gambier's 17 shots.
