By Carolyn McLaren. The Naracoorte and District Caledonian Society has been busy recently holding some of its annual gatherings. First up was the annual ceilidh held at the Scout Hall, Naracoorte in June. Lunch was enjoyed followed by an afternoon of entertainment. The crowd were entertained with the pipes and drums, fantastic Scottish highland dancing, a whisky toss and a raffle and wood auction. On the 1st of July the society held their annual day of the tartan event at the Bushman Arms pub where the pipes and drums played followed by the toasting of the tartan and a meal was enjoyed by all present.
