Naracoorte Squash Club commenced their Spring Pennant last Wednesday night with 8 teams of 5 and it was great to see so many new and returning players to squash and we welcome all players for the new pennant. There were some long and great games on the first night ensuring it will be an interesting 12 weeks. Returning player Bryce who has not played for many years started the season well with a convincing win over Ewen who has stepped up to No. 2 with a big improvement last pennant. Vicki had a huge 5-setter to start the pennant against junior Jordy who was filling in for Lorraine who has had knee surgery and we look forward to her returning soon. Season win for Ginger Beer

On April 28, the first semi-final was played between Sprite and Mountain Dew, and it proved to be a game worth watching from start to finish.

Tigers roar home in thriller

Mundulla kicked the only goals of the low-scoring first quarter, before Border Districts took the lead late in the second term.

The lead seesawed in the third quarter and Borders led by four points at the last break and extended their lead with a goal in the first minute of the last term.

The lead seesawed again before the Tigers kicked the last two goals of the match to win a thriller by eight points.
