I know there have been lots of twists and turns along the way as the SANFL tries to tell us where all of our local footy clubs are going to be playing next year. But the latest development I have to admit has hit me for six. I’m just confused now. Did I read it right last week when I read that Penola wants to leave the KNTFL and join the Western Border league in whatever form that league takes next year? I thought we had been presented with a clear cut option that we would be splitting into 2 leagues, with the Western Border disbanding. Four of their current clubs would join us in the KNT, with the other 2 joining the Mid SE league.
