By Sally Bywater. Second Semi Final: Saturday 2nd September 2023 : A Grade: Penola 58 (Tegan Lythgo) d Keith 36 (Stephanie Lubcke). Penola started strong in the first quarter with accurate shooting from April Possingham and Tegan Lythgo. Keith clawed it back in the first five minutes of the second quarter with strong defence, however Penola responded well and stepped it up a notch. Penola extended their lead in the third quarter with strong defensive pressure and accurate shooting. The last quarter, despite Keith’s relentless efforts, saw Penola take a strong win. A Reserves: Naracoorte 56 (Jemma Kavanagh) d Penola 51 (Sally Skeer). In beautiful playing conditions, Naracoorte came out firing with a four goal lead at quarter time, 13-9.
