KNTFL football teams return to the field this Saturday after the state championships weekend off, with just 6 rounds left in the season now. It looks like the top 5 teams have a break on the rest of the competition, with three wins between 5th-placed Naracoorte and 6th-placed Padthaway, but a lot can change in 6 weeks. This Saturday’s stand-out match of the round is between current front-runners Border Districts (1st on the ladder) and Kingston (4th). Borders are one win plus percentage clear in top spot, while Kingston needs the win to stay in the hunt for an important top three spot which comes with a double chance in the finals. Interestingly, Kingston have been the only team to beat Borders this season, prevailing by 10 points in a great game back in round 2.
