By Bridging the Gap. Twenty four ladies played 30 boards last week & once again the South direction had few points. In the E/W direction, huge congratulations to novice players Mary Lush & Yvonne Hegarty who had a fabulous 59.33% followed by freshly paired, Robyn Talbot & Jenni Castine who scored very well with 57%. N/S winners were Rosie Legoe & Sally Macdonald with 56.33%, the ever consistent Jill Perkins & Sars Crawford followed with 54.33 & the remaining pairs in that direction were not far behind. Well done to Susie Mort & Sue Munro who are both novices & scored a creditable 45%. It’s really encouraging seeing these new bridge players developing their knowledge & persevering with this intricate card game.
