By Leanne Foster Wednesday was a lovely day for golf and the course looked great thanks to our wonderful volunteers. Ladies played Stroke and Putting. Stroke winner was Leanne Dolling with a lovely 96. Sheryl Kinnane took out the putting with 30 putts. Kylie Walton and Leanne Dolling both had 31 putts. Nearest the pins were Leanne Dolling on 3, 11 and 17 and Fiona Crawley on 11. Sunday saw the final of the Club Handicap Championship for 2023. The winner was Geoff Shortt defeating Ray Wilson 6/5. Congratulations Geoff and well done to Ray on making the final. The rest of the field played a Stableford round. There were some very good scores. Craig Walton 36 points, Henry Waugh 37 points and Matthew Waugh winner with a great score of 39 points. There were no nearest the pins. Longest drive was Matthew Waugh.
