Keith’s Johnson and Wilsdon were working hard in defence and Callum McMurray, Mitchell and Mitchell were attacking strongly, and the Crows replied two minutes later when Ryan booted the ball goalward where it rolled through the big sticks, before the Saints’ Benson turned defence into attack and Rothall made no mistake. The Crows attacked again but only a minor score ensued and at quarter-time Kingston led 2-2-14 to 1-1-7. The Saints again scored a behind in the first minute of the second term before Watson squeezed the ball through the goals from a tight angle.
