By Barb Altus. In the closest Preliminary Final in living memory, Kingston won their way into their first Grand Final in the KNT and their first since 2000 with a behind scored after extra time. Mundulla started well when, after minor scores by each team, Mundulla’s Grosser and McGrice forced the ball to Studham who wheeled and goaled two minutes in. After another two behinds by the Saints and determined defence by Gambranis their Captain Tom Rogers directed the ball to Harding who passed to Warner who kicked truly to give Kingston the lead fourteen minutes in. The Tigers levelled the score with two more minor scores before Kuchel and Ballinger drove the ball to Noll who snapped accurately to retake the lead.
