Friday ladies pennant – 9 October 2026, Round 1

There was certainly some tough competition going on in N/S this week at Bridge@Bowls, with Jill Redway/Robyn Talbot doing battle with Christine McDonald/Helen Cox over who would claim the coveted top position.

Wet weather failed to dampen the enthusiasm of eight young golfers who competed in the Naracoorte Junior Golf Tournament during the recent school holidays.

Golf continued on their winning vein when they easily accounted for bottom team Echo when the two sides met last Monday night, Golf winning 10-2.

Unfortunately, neither Kelli nor her number two could get to the game resulting in a team mostly made of fill-ins. With prominent A grader, Victor, filling in for Kelli, it was little surprise the Kiwi-berries took the match 8-4.
