Finals race heats up

Some interesting results in round 14 have thrown new light on the race for finals spots in the KNTFL A grade competition. With four more rounds remaining before finals, only Kingston on top of the ladder can be guaranteed of their position with all other spots in the top five up for grabs. The two crucial results last Saturday were Border Districts (4th) thrashing the more fancied reigning premiers Mundulla (2nd), and Bordertown (3rd) defeating Keith (6th), who were in the top 5 but fell out with the loss. Borders have been in good form in recent rounds but stepped it up this week to dominate the second half against Mundulla, kicking 11.3 to just 2.5 to win 111-54 in their most important result of the season.
