Leaping Michaels is a variation of Michaels Cue bids, though not exactly a Cue bid itself, as it does not involve bidding a suit that the other side has already bid. Its usefulness is that it is the only way of showing 5-5 in Clubs and the other Major, after opponents have themselves opened with a Major suit. The catch is that opportunities to use it are extremely rare, and your partner may not recognise it when you use it.
