Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association senior teams returned to the field after their Christmas break last Saturday. Lucindale continued to perform strongly in this bounce-back season after a poor 2022-23, this time defeating local rivals Naracoorte Townies convincingly. Townies won the toss and batted first in the game at Lucindale, but struggled throughout.

Naracoorte hosted the Tigers for their first game after the Christmas break. Ken Sisson pitched to Tom Paech for the first innings. Thanks to some great pitching and good fielding the Rangers were able to restrict the Tigers to one run. Naracoorte were not so lucky in the batting department.

Two months ago on November 16, Lucindale’s police officer Brevet Sergeant Jason Doig attended a call out to a property at Senior, north of Bordertown 120 kms away, and never returned home.
