Probus month was celebrated in October with a BBQ gathering, highlighting Probus values of ‘friendship, fellowship and fun’.

Charity triples school meal service through charity partnerships

A Mount Gambier-based charity providing meals to schoolchildren has tripled their service over the last few months, with the help of fellow charities and organisations. Twenty-five schools across the Limestone Coast have now signed up for the Spare Ya Change 4 Kids (SYC4K) service, an increase from six schools at the beginning of 2023.

Each year, the Kingston Inter Church Council issue hampers and Christmas gifts to families who need an extra helping hand. This year we provided 22 food hampers and Christmas gifts for 38 children. There is a lot of planning before the volunteers come together to pack the hampers, and sort the toys.
