Robe waives ship fees

AT least four passenger ships cruising into Robe will each have a daily fee of $140.70 waived by the District Council. The ships are expected within the next three years and by waiving the fee the council hopes to demonstrate its support for their visits.

Although it was a glorious Spring day, 24 ladies enjoyed playing a solid afternoon’s bridge. Sandra Haynes and Sally Macdonald were winners in the N/S direction with an amazing 65.12% followed by Rosie Legoe and Jenny Clark with 59.60%. E/W winners were Janneen Wishart and Sandi Lawrence with a creditable 62.54%.
