Naracoorte Senior Citizens Club

By Dianne Arnold The Naracoorte Senior Citizens Club is delighted to be a recipient of the give back program. “The money will be used for one of the many projects that are on our agenda” Dianne Arnold, the president said. Projects on the agenda at the moment are revamping the tables to make them easy to store and upgrading the ladies’ toilets. The clubrooms are available for hire and are currently used for exercise classes on Tuesday between 11-12 and cards on Friday – be there 12.45pm for 1pm start. Canasta is the main card game but if anyone else would like to play a different form of cards this could be played at times that are suitable. Functions that have previously used the clubrooms are The Community Christmas, birthday parties, craft fair and business gatherings. Naracoorte Golf Club

By Sam Brooksby The Naracoorte Golf Club provides a sporting, recreational and social service to local residents and visitors in a beautiful setting. Apart from running golf competitions, the NGC provides a social venue for a variety of local and regional organizations that include visiting golfing groups, intra and inter-regional golf tournaments, LSE Veterans, Legends, Tour Pro Am, Open Day and the Taste Festival. In addition, the Club hosts funeral wakes and supports and hosts numerous charities (RFDS, Red Cross, Legacy, Variety, Stand Like Stone and Hospital Auxiliary) in their money-raising activities. The NGC Committee has resolved to upgrade its clubhouse with a wheelchair access ramp as part of a larger, longer-term modernization project. Wheelchair access is the most important and pressing requirement, essential for the club to achieve a modern, acceptable standard. Kingston Saints Netball Club

By Natalie Banning, KSNC President We are a competitive netball side in the KNTNA. Our netball club prides ourselves on being an inclusive and friendly club. We are so grateful for The News Gives Back program for their donation, this is so greatly appreciated. This donation will be going towards our major court and clubroom upgrade that we hope will happen over the coming years. Upgrading our facilities is a huge financial demand and we are currently fundraising and researching grants to help generate the funds needed to reach this goal. Upgrading our tired and dated courts in particular is a necessity for our members, players and spectators. Naracoorte and District Hockey Association

By Anne Freeman Naracoorte and District Hockey Assoc would like to thank The News Give Back Program for their kind donation. NDHA is made up of 5 clubs – 3x Naracoorte base clubs, Kingston/Lucindale and Tatiara. We have U/9, U/13, U/16, Women and Men teams. This money will go towards funding to up grade our toilets/changeroom. In recent years we have been very lucky to build a brand-new Turf and brand-new clubrooms. With the possibility for future tournaments, we need to modernise our facilities and with this money, every little bit helps.
