100% mobile coverage in 2 years
By Chris Oldfield ACROSS the Limestone Coast and throughout Australia, Optus and SpaceX plan to provide 100 per cent mobile coverage by the end of 2025. The deal means an Optus customer should be able to connect to Starlink’s satellites to get mobile service if an Optus network is not available. It also means Crs Cameron Grundy, Darren Turner, Crash Downward, Abigail Goodman, Trevor Rayner and Peter Ireland may feel vindicated. Twice they rejected Telstra’s calls for ratepayer cash to help build 27 mobile towers in the Limestone Coast – including three in the Naracoorte Lucindale Council district – each costing $1.5 million. It’s called the Limestone Coast Connectivity project. At the council’s May meeting a block of four councillors were in favour of handing over the ratepayer funds – around $140,000. KNTNA A Grade match reports
By Sally Bywater Keith v Kybybolite What a game! Kyby came to Keith and left nothing behind. A hard fought game to the final whistle. Kyby were one up at quarter time (15-14) then Keith flipped the lead to be one up at half time (31-30). An intense second half saw both sides continue to apply pressure down the whole court. Whitney Smith (Keith) and Gorgia Sealey (Kyby) had a close tussle in the midcourt, both contributing positively to their sides in attack and defence. Charlee Hodges’ (Kyby) precision passing into Chelsea Bull kept Keith’s ability to turnover the ball minimal. The game was close until the last 5 minutes, where Keith pulled away to finish with a 9 goal lead, 64-55. A highly contested game across the entire court for a full 60 minutes. Great game girls. Mundulla v Naracoorte In a fast paced game at Mundulla, Naracoorte took […]
