Naracoorte Golf Club Ladies results: 16th and 23rd August 2023

By Sally MacLeod. Here goes for two weeks of golf – a bit late with my article for last week’s paper! Two weeks ago, Helen Cox and Chris McDonald kindly sponsored the Stableford team’s event, as they have done for many years. A big thanks to them for their ongoing and generous support. There were 19 golfers in the field – 4 teams of 4 players and 1 team of 3 players. Team winners were determined from the best aggregate score. The team of three, consisting of Trish Brooker, Jill Steen and Sally Macleod were the winners with a combined 3 person score of 100 Stableford points. Sally Macleod scored 38 points, which was the best individual score of the day. The runners up were Robbie Talbot, Elaine Zerk, Kate Falconer and Vicky Scallion with a score of 126 points. Medusa Captain Troy Harris, who has been unstoppable over the last few weeks, won 3 singles, and Dylan Agnew and Michael Williams both won 2 singles. Dylan had the closest game of the night against Rob Copping, winning in 5 sets, 15-17, 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, 11-7. Troll took out 2 of the 3 doubles but they were beaten in singles, as Rob Copping and Jordon Miller won a single each for their team. Griffin just got over Goblin, winning 7-5. For Griffin, Simon Smith won 2 singles, while Steve Lawrie and Kevin Schultz won a single each. Griffin took out all 3 doubles.
