Naracoorte B Grade table tennis winter season report
By Zoe Williams & Sophie Matters. The first game for Tuesday night was played by the Scorchers and the Heros, the first single was between Buck Buckner and Helen Grady. Scores were 6-11, 14-12, 12-10 and 12-10, it was Helen who won this game. The second double was played by Buck Buckner and Tracy Westover from the Scorchers and Stuart and Austin Martyn from the Heros. Scores were 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 5-11 and 11-9, it was the scorchers who won but it was the Heros who were able to win overall with scores of 6-6, 19-25. Thank you to Stuart Martyn for filling in for Charlie Le. The next game was played by the Trackers and the Elites, after the first double Tyler Sinclair and Kayden Grist played their double, scores were 7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 8-11 and 11-9, Tyler pulled through in the end and won for his team. Mayor warns councillors
MAYOR Patrick Ross has told his elected members there is “no such thing as a personal opinion, you will always be quoted as a councillor”. Mr Ross made the comment as part of his mayoral communication at Naracoorte Lucindale Council’s August 22 meeting in Frances. Referring to a confidential meeting for councillors which was held on July 24, Mr Ross said he attended an elected member training session by Kelledy Jones.
