NARACOORTE manufacturing icon and entrepreneur Donald “Don” Wray has died aged 72. Born on October 27, 1950, Don left school at 16 to become a shearer. As well as being a gun shearer, he earned a reputation for being a great bloke with a keen sense of humour and cheeky smile.

Lucindale Bowls Club held its Minijumbuk 100 up Singles competition on 1st November with 10 bowlers taking part. For a nice change the wind wasn’t blowing and we all enjoyed perfect calm conditions for our day of bowls which consisted of 3 games of 10 ends with one 3 game winner Alison and 4 players on 2 wins.

By Beverly King Sunday 29th October we held our K&S Fuel legacy pairs, teams were chosen at random, 24 players attended and played 1 game of 2x4x2 then a game of three bowl pairs before a delicious afternoon tea and another game of three bowls pairs, all games were played over eight ends.
