Tatiara Australia Day celebrations

Tatiara District Council will honour its leading citizen and event of 2023 at an Australia Day ceremony at the Wolseley Oval, Wolseley on 26 January 2024. Tatiara District Council Mayor Liz Goossens said the day would begin with the traditional Australia Day breakfast at 8.00am and music by Amy Verco.

Industrial Hemp trial sites open for inspection at VIC & SA field days

Farmers interested in adding industrial hemp to their crop rotations are invited to attend a series of field days in Victoria and South Australia this summer. The Industrial Hemp Variety Trial (IHVT) field days, to be held in Hamilton VIC on 30 January, Maaoupe SA on 31 January and in Loxton SA on 2 February, are the culmination of a three-year research project to determine best performing varieties and sowing times for each growing region.

Bridge resumed at the Naracoorte Bowling Club last week and it was wonderful having 22 enthusiastic members. Four ladies, who only began bridge last year, all finished in the top 3 pairs which was a fantastic result.
