High-speed rail

A local member of parliament has called on the government to consider a high-speed rail network between Adelaide and Melbourne, going through the Limestone Coast region. Member of Mackillop Nick McBride says he’s a big supporter of high-speed rail and believes this will revolutionise transport between Adelaide and Melbourne, with “bigtime benefits” for the region.

Reconciling our past

We would have been so much better if we had reconciled our past with the First Nations people of this land.
This was the message delivered by James Darling AM, a South Australian conversationalist who was the guest speaker at Australia Day celebrations at the Naracoorte Town Square.
In a thought-provoking message, Mr Darling said we must continue to give a fair go to all, irrespective of backgrounds, culture, or creed.

For a World Heritage Site I found on a recent visit to the caves that the service by Rangers was exceptional but the offering for wheelchair users was very poor. Has anyone recently reviewed the wheelchair accessible display (which a visitor pays for) with their very dated “touch screens” at the end of the display.
