By Mary McClure The Naracoorte Cricket Club is a thriving local summer sports Club, steeped in tradition. Wortley Oval in Naracoorte is a hive of activity in the summer as girls, boys, women and men take to the field in a variety of competitions. Competitions run from November through to March and cater for all ages and abilities, from juniors through to seniors. Through the generosity of programs such as ‘The News Gives Back’, the Naracoorte Cricket Club can continue to maintain its envious facilities and provide its members and spectators, with a warm and welcoming environment both now and well into the future. Information surrounding the 23/24 season will be promoted through The News, school newsletters and the ‘Naracoorte Cricket Club’ and the ‘Naracoorte & District Cricket Assoc. – Junior’ Facebook pages. New name for Grant Council
