The Naracoorte Warriors left it to the last over of the last game of the year to seal an unlikely finals berth in Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association last Saturday. Going into the final round, any of three teams – Warriors, Mount Burr or Robe – could have taken the fourth finals spot.

Their 5th daughter, Margaret MacInnes 1827-1892, married Dr Alexander McDonald 1813-1891 in Scotland.

Lucindale made a statement by beating top team Millicent in the match of the round for Millicent and Naracoorte District Cricket association last Saturday. Sitting third on the ladder, Lucindale dominated the top side in the second-last game of the minor round, Millicent batted first and struggled badly, with opening bowlers Brandon Nicolle and Michael McGurk making early inroads with figures of 2/15 and 2/28.

Saturday, 10 th February saw the Southern Ports Tennis teams compete at Wimbledon Round, hosted by the Lucindale Tennis Club. Scores across all matches were tight as the competition closes in towards Grand Final Day in just three weeks.
