Mundulla kicked the only goals of the low-scoring first quarter, before Border Districts took the lead late in the second term.

The lead seesawed in the third quarter and Borders led by four points at the last break and extended their lead with a goal in the first minute of the last term.

The lead seesawed again before the Tigers kicked the last two goals of the match to win a thriller by eight points.

A fascinating round 5 of KNTFL football injected new life into the competition last Saturday.

All four games could have gone either way and have thrown a new light on the competition with some interesting developments.

The most significant result could have been reigning premiers Mundulla beating Border Districts by just 8 points, 12.8 to 10.12. Mundulla has been predicted as a slider after losing quality players and Borders a real mover up the ladder, but Mundulla has now won 4 of 5 games and Borders are 2-2.

Lucindale v Naracoorte: In the first quarter, Lucindale came out firing, showing spectators exactly what they can do. Leading at the first break 14-9. Naracoorte made some changes and stepped up with their shooting accuracy improving, taking the lead by two goals at the half time break, 22-20. A very even game throughout the court with tight defence down both ends making it difficult for all goalies. Naracoorte stepped away at the end, taking the game by four goals, 43-39.

Social Bridge@Bowls last Tuesday was once again well attended and enjoyed.
