Although it was a glorious Spring day, 24 ladies enjoyed playing a solid afternoon’s bridge.  Sandra Haynes and Sally Macdonald were winners in the N/S direction with an amazing 65.12% followed by Rosie Legoe and Jenny Clark with 59.60%.  E/W winners were Janneen Wishart and Sandi Lawrence with a creditable 62.54%.

Second placed Hera won a very close match against 4 th placed Hades by 12 points after being 9 games all in a good night of squash last Wednesday. There were some close 4-setters with 3 games going to 5 sets.

Winners N/S today were Sue Hood and Liz Ogilvie closely followed by Sally Macdonald and Sandra Haynes. E/W winners were the ever reliable Prue Ellis and Jenny Pridham followed by Mary Lush and Yvonne Hegarty. Fantastic to see this pair in the winners circle, they have certainly been practising their bridge.

Lucindale continued its excellent start to the Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association season with a third consecutive win last Saturday. After finishing last season in the lower half of the ladder, Lucindale has started this year with three from three to be equal on top of the ladder with reigning premiers Rendelsham.

Grosser Trophy first round to Kaniva.
Bordertown Bowling Club hosted the first round of the Grosser Trophy Thursday night with Kaniva, Serviceton, Mundulla and Bordertown playing a friendly rival tournament with 3 teams each. Kaniva won the night with 3 wins and 6 points, and Bordertown and Mundulla on 3 points each.

Last Saturday saw the third round of the U14 Hall Trophy. This rounds match up for the Penola/Naracoorte U14’s, was Mt. Burr, at McCorquindale Park in Penola. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze in the air, and both teams were ready for a good game.

Tatiara Karting club held the Australian independent Dirt Kart Titles for 2023. With over 500 nominations and the biggest Australian title in Dirt karting history. With drivers coming from as far as Perth and Dawin to race at the local track of Bordertown.

Another fantastic turnout of 27 groups found their way out to the Lucindale golf club to compete for the coveted annual south east 27 hole four ball ambrose. The weather was absolutely fantastic for golf with plenty of sunshine and a light south easterly breeze.

After a tightly fought contest against Souths last week The Rangers took on Central Magpies on Saturday. Naracoorte batted first and secured four runs in their first innings. The Rangers were kept scoreless in their second innings but continued to score runs in each of their remaining innings.
