Good news for those who are interested in local matters. The Tatiara District Council has decided to livestream future council meeting to the public in a bid to provide greater accessibility. Council CEO Anne Champness told this newspaper that the livestreaming would enable interested people to view a council meeting without having to be in the chamber at 5pm on a Tuesday night.

Kingston Tennis Club have taken out the Division 1 shield in the 2023/24 Southern Ports Tennis Association Grand Final, defeating the Beachport Pirate 13 sets to 11. The minor premiers had a tough battle on their hands against a formidable Pirates side, with the score remaining even until the final matches of the day.

Naracoorte agents yarded an increased offering this week with 1344 head penned, an increase of 448/head. Quality was mostly good with the usual buying group in attendance and operating in a dearer market, that saw most cattle sell to a dearer trend to be 10c to 20c dearer and up to 30c/kg dearer in places.

They then teamed up well to win the first double in straight sets, so both players had excellent starts to the new season.
