The 2023 South East Tennis Association Junior Singles Championships were played at Lucindale Country Club. 72 players enjoyed the lawn courts impressively prepared as always by Lucindale Country Club greenskeeper Don Thiele. Players, spectators and organisers enjoyed some beautiful tennis weather, finally, with blue skies and sunshine throughout the day.

NARACOORTE’S former ANZ Bank building will not be bought by the council, demolished, and turned into 41 public car parks.
Mayor Patrick Ross used his casting vote to squash the concept at Naracoorte Lucindale Council’s November 28 meeting when councillors were tied 5-5 over the issue.
Meanwhile, 17 private car parks at the site on 99 Smith St are no longer accessible to the public for parking.

Lucindale Bowling Club welcomed competitors from around the SE to their club on November 21st for the annual Ladies 4s & 2s tournament. It was great to have 14 teams attending. Four games were played with a lunch served in the interval.

The Opposition fears the Malinauskas Labor Government’s recent school funding announcement simply doesn’t go far enough to address significant infrastructure concerns at many South Australian public schools – particularly those in regional SA.
Shadow Minister for Education, Training and Skills, John Gardner, and Shadow Assistant Minister for Regional South Australia, Ben Hood, have been in direct contact with numerous schools in the South East that be been overlooked in Labor’s $14.3 million school upgrades announcement – including Glenburnie Primary School, Mulga Street Primary School and Mil-Lel Primary School, who are exposed to a range of unacceptable safety issues.
