Once again it was wonderful having 28 bridge players who managed to play 28 boards despite the delay from a computer glitch, well done to competent Chris McDonald, for sorting it out and enabling the competition to continue. Huge congratulations to E/W winners Jill Redway/Rob Talbot with a fantastic 62.5% followed by Di Vine/Kathryn McCourt on 56.55% & not far behind were Meredith Lawrie/Jenni Castine on 55.65%.

The Naracoorte Hospital Auxiliary will be holding their annual morning tea on Tuesday 13 February starting at 10am at the Naracoorte Bowls Club, 191 Smith Street. This year our guest speaker will be Rhett McDonald. Rhett is currently working as a therapeutic counsellor/advocate in the fields of families/young people, refugee, asylum seekers, and migrant communities in the Limestone Coast, including Naracoorte for over 10 years.

Last week all Naracoorte RSL Bowling Club’s teams played at home and on Friday the ladies hosted Port MacDonnell. Robyn Hansen, Linda Prentice, Helen Brody and Steve Hansen had a fantastic day against Elaine Pruis’s side and won very easily with 36 shots to 8.

Is the methodology used by the Naracoorte-Lucindale Council to build and maintain the district’s unsealed road network working? To determine this and the efficiency of its road works, the council will carry out an independent assessment within the next six months. Mayor Patrick Ross said the assessment was important as the council aims to complete its capital work and projects by the end of the financial year.

By Valma Jennings Thursday 1st February Robe Mitre 10 sponsored social bowls. Twenty Three players played 2 games of 12 ends, 7 pairs & 3 triples. We had visitors from Hawthorn in Adelaide, Kingston and Bircham Victoria. Runner-up on 34 pts were Rob Hooper and Darren from Hawthorn and the only 2 game winners on 58 pts were Josh Waddell & David Robinson.
