Naracoorte White and Naracoorte Red displayed some great tennis today, with two of the doubles going to tie breakers, with each team winning one. There were some wonderful rallies had in the singles games and the scores didn’t reflect how well everyone was hitting the ball.

Mount Gambier and District Tennis Association have again triumphed in both the Baker and Ey Shields. Held at the Lucindale Country Club on Sunday, 18 th February 2024, MGDTA were too strong for an undermanned Southern Ports side. The visitors were comprehensive in their win, taking each rubber across the day.

86 was the large field at Robe today, it being popular because it is very challenging. Conditions were fine and Div 1 winner was Blue Lake’s Doug Robbins with an excellent 40 points. A countback on 36 was decided with Tony Wilson second from Brian Pennell.

A warm day at Naracoorte produced some high quality matches. The mixed doubles had the day looking even with three sets going each way. For Naracoorte, Malone/P. Moyle-Read were a standout, taking their double 6-3. Similarly, McKinnon/Legoe were also in form, winning their set 6-1.
