This week we hosted the Midweek Pennant at Serviceton Bowling Green. Horsham City, whom we felt were an unknown quantity, visited to play on our green. Serviceton has the only grass green in the association.  The green looks good and is running well.

Kingston SE Golf Club held its third annual Kingston Cup golf tournament on the 14/15 th October. One hundred and two golfers from the Limestone Coast, country South Australia and Adelaide metropolitan clubs competed in the two day stableford event with total prizes over $4,000.

Friday night was twilight Golf and what a great way to start the weekend with a beautiful night, a hit of golf, a few giggles and generally just a bit of fun. We had a field of 23 Players who ventured out to take on the front nine this week and the scoring was HOT!

Round 2 of the SPTA season continued over the weekend, with three matches taking the courts. Kingston didn’t back down in their first match of the season, comfortably defeating the Robe Roosters with some spectacular games from the top men. Frances/Lucindale Eagles again look like the team to beat this season, defeating Lucindale Koalas by 10 sets.

Kingston def Naracoorte Blue 44 games to 35 Another windy morning in Kingston for round 2 of Junior tennis. We had some excellent match ups and very close games. Anna R filled in for Naracoorte Blue which made for a great match against younger sister, Katie. Anna came away with the win6-4 in a very tight match.

Four seasons prevailed last Wednesday at Lucindale Ladies Closing Day, hail created havoc on the first green played but fortunately, it was short lived. We all enjoyed playing a nine-hole Stableford competition off the Orange markers, along with a bonus of one mulligan per hole (an extra stroke allowed after a poor poor shot, not counted on the scorecard).
