On Saturday 2nd March Jeff and Emily played Bev Makin and Loma Wallis in the final of this competition. This was the third Saturday morning of the competition and was bound to be an exciting match for those who came to watch.

Feb. the Champion of Championship Ladies Pairs were played at Bordertown and we welcomed the Padthaway Ladies Peg Slape and Deb Zilm into the competition.  The first round Padthaway d.Tintinara 13-5. Mundulla d. Keith 13-6. Bordertown had a bye.  Round 2 Bordertown d. Tintinara 13-5, Mundulla and Padthaway had a draw and Keith had a bye.

Millicent had a commanding win in the grand final of the Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association on Saturday. In a very one-sided game, Millicent went in as slight favourites despite playing Rendelsham at their home ground, but couldn’t have predicted how much they would dominate.

The Adelaide Cup injury curse has again struck star Naracoorte stayer Hasta La War. The Sue Murphy-trained gelding was seemingly on track for his first start in the 3200m feature at Morphettville, to be held on Monday, but went amiss in the recent Lord Reims Stakes.

The Naracoorte Table Tennis A grade Autumn season started off last Monday night with 5 teams. Meteors played Typhoons, and Meteors Captain Neil Golder scored 3 singles wins, as did team mate Gommo. They then teamed up well to win the first double in straight sets, so both players had excellent starts to the new season.
