59 players competed at Blue Lake and the scoring was great. First Division was won on a countback on 39 by Millicent’s Terry Chant from Robe’s Brian Foreman on 39, with Blue Lake’s Wayne Dunford third on 38, and there were plenty of 36 and 35 scores.

Robe Bowling Club held a Bowling Arm Tournament on Monday 20th November, in balmy conditions, with 14 teams attending and playing 4×10 ends of 2 bowl triples. Players attended from Woodville, Blyth, Salisbury, Jervois and across the South East. The day was sponsored by Ann Moore, John Maybe and Ian Bruce and Family.

The grounds at Memorial oval could not escape from the damage Friday’s storm caused in Naracoorte. A limb broke off the gum tree on the visitors side of the ground and caused damage to the fence.

It was wonderful having 26 ladies play 28 boards of bridge last week. We were thrilled four recently absent players returned, welcome back Julia, Ruth, Chris and Helen. Huge congratulations to E/W winners, Sally Macdonald and Sandra Haynes with a whopping 76.67%.

Our Midweek Pennant team travelled to Goroke this week to play Edenhope/Goroke. Team 1 won 27-8 and team 2 scored 21 to Goroke 27 . Overall Serviceton won by13 shots. Saturday 25th November we held our annual Maidrill sponsored day. President Rick Miles welcomed everyone including visitor Stephen McPhee.

The wild weather of last weekend meant the entire round of Millicent and Naracoorte Cricket Association matches were washed out. Most grounds were too wet for play, and it was decided to call off the whole round as a result.
