The Naracoorte and District Caledonian Society

The Naracoorte and District Caledonian Society

By Carolyn McLaren. The Naracoorte and District Caledonian Society has been busy recently holding some of its annual gatherings. First up was the annual ceilidh held at the Scout Hall, Naracoorte in June. Lunch was enjoyed followed by an afternoon of entertainment. The crowd were entertained with the pipes and drums, fantastic Scottish highland dancing, a whisky toss and a raffle and wood auction.  On the 1st of July the society held their annual day of the tartan event at the Bushman Arms pub where the pipes and drums played followed by the toasting of the tartan and a meal was enjoyed by all present. The society hold several events each year and everyone is most welcome. Please contact Ed 0475 428 989  or Shirley on 0484 299 256 for more information on the society.  On a sadder note we have recently lost one of our esteemed past Chiefs, Peter […]

The team of three, consisting of Trish Brooker, Jill Steen and Sally Macleod were the winners with a combined 3 person score of 100 Stableford points. Sally Macleod scored 38 points, which was the best individual score of the day. The runners up were Robbie Talbot, Elaine Zerk, Kate Falconer and Vicky Scallion with a score of 126 points. Unlike past weeks, all four nearest the pin prizes were […]
