Naracoorte started very strongly, with a goal to Ashton Reti inside the first minute, before Darcy duRand kicked truly at the two-minute mark, then Tommy Taylor made no mistake four minutes in, and goaled again to give the Demons four goals in six minutes. They kept attacking but the Kybybolite defence rushed two behinds before the Dees’ last shot was another minor score so at the first break Naracoorte led 4-3-27 to 0-0-0. Kyby scored first in the second term, but only registered a behind before the Demons’ T Taylor goaled again, before Pilkington registered the Tigers’ first goal seven minutes in. The Dees replied with two goals to Thraviz Coronel in as many minutes, followed by two more behinds, so at half-time Naracoorte led 7-5-47 to 1-1-7. By Alison Williams. The Bowling season isn’t far away now! Lucindale Bowls Club is holding its Season Opening Day on 1st October, names in by 12.30pm with a club tea afterwards. Ladies Pennants starts on 6th October with an away game against Port MacDonnell. Open Pennants starts the following day on the 7th October a home game Lucindale Red v Penola and Lucindale Blue v Naracoorte RSL. Ladies Social Bowls is each Wednesday names in by 9.30am with a 10am start, all welcome, we have bowls available for new players if they wish to have a try. We also have bowls practice Wednesday afternoons from 5pm onwards for mens & ladies.  Good luck to everyone this season!

By Zoe Williams & Sophie Matters. The first game for Tuesday night was played by the Scorchers and the Heros, the first single was between Buck Buckner and Helen Grady. Scores were 6-11, 14-12, 12-10 and 12-10, it was Helen who won this game. The second double was played by Buck Buckner and Tracy Westover from the Scorchers and Stuart and Austin Martyn from the Heros. Scores were 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 5-11 and 11-9, it was the scorchers who won but it was the Heros who were able to win overall with scores of 6-6, 19-25. Thank you to Stuart Martyn for filling in for Charlie Le. The next game was played by the Trackers and the Elites, after the first double Tyler Sinclair and Kayden Grist played their double, scores were 7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 8-11 and 11-9, Tyler pulled through in the end and won for his team.
