Future workforce opportunities expand with Naracoorte opening

A long-standing relationship with late Naracoorte tradesman Ian Hickson has been honoured this week, through the opening of a new Naracoorte office for Group Training Employment (GTE), as the organisation expands across the Limestone Coast. GTE General Manager Greg Megaw said the launch of the Naracoorte CBD base, in addition to the existing Mt Gambier office, will open up greater training and employment opportunities for employers based across the region.

Council supports its valuable community groups

Three community groups will receive funding boosts for a range of projects, including security, lighting, and a SA Rural Women’s Gathering event in Robe, through the District Council of Robe’s Community Assistance Fund. Whist Council’s Community Assistance Fund grant program has $10,000 available this year, only three eligible applications were received, resulting in Council only allocating 60% of this amount to the local community groups.
