By Tim Delaney, MLA Cattle: LWB 10 – LWY 217 – LWC 186 – OAY 1 Naracoorte cattle numbers increased this week to 414 a lift of 164 head. It was an improved quality yarding from very good to average with the offering containing some well presented prime yearling and grown cattle in the trade run and some heavy cows with excellent cover. The usual group of buyers were present with not all operating fully although bidding remained steady especially for the good quality. Restockers and the feeders were also active in places. Prices during the market were generally from firm to 10c/kg dearer compared to last week. The market was made up of approximately 186 cows, 202 trade run cattle and 25 bulls. Tigers roar home in thriller

Mundulla kicked the only goals of the low-scoring first quarter, before Border Districts took the lead late in the second term.

The lead seesawed in the third quarter and Borders led by four points at the last break and extended their lead with a goal in the first minute of the last term.
