They were made up of 395 young cattle, 190 cows and 22 bulls. Quality ranged from average to good with some excellent pens of heavy beef bred cows yarded selling to stronger demand. The usual buying group attended and operated in a mostly firm to dearer market in places. Young cattle sold from 288c to 356c/kg with feeders and restockers paying from 200c to 355c/kg. Grown steers sold from 310c to 330c to the trade to be similar. Better covered grown heifers sold from 200c to 305c/kg to be 5c/kg stronger on last week.
