By Tim Delaney, MLA Cattle: LWB 34 – LWY 303 – LWC 93 – OAY 35 Cattle numbers increased to 463 which was up 49 head on last week. Quality was mixed from very good pens of younger and grown cattle don to plainer secondary types in the Winter market. Heavy to medium weight cows were also offered and more bulls came forward. A smaller field of  buyers attended and there was less competition coming from the gallery. There was also some feeder and restocker interest at times. Younger and the grown cattle in the trade run sold from mainly from unchanged to 10c weaker and up to 15c/kg back in places. However a sale of outstanding yearling steers sold to 365c and yearling heifers reached 352c/kg. Heavy  cows sold to softer demand selling 4c to 10c/kg cheaper.
