The Naracoorte Bowls and Croquet Club is looking forward to another successful year. The club officially opened the 23/24 season with 40+ members playing in the afternoon after President Roger Farley welcomed our new bowlers and wished everyone an enjoyable season. The opening day was sponsored by Bricey’s SE Collision Repairs and members enjoyed a pooled tea afterwards.

Pennant bowls started on October 4th with Naracoorte represented in every LSEBA competition, Midweek, Div 1 & 2 in Friday Ladies and Div 1, 2 & 3 in Saturday Open Pennant. Our club held the very popular Bushman Arms tournament on Monday 2nd October proving good practice prior to the Pennant start.

It’s not only the lawn bowlers that benefit from being part of the Naracoorte Bowls Club as many play Indoor Bowls on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evenings during the winter months.

Croquet is also a big part of the club with new members joining to play this skillful game. Many

others use the facilities with 20+ ladies playing cards every Thursday afternoon and Probus having their monthly meetings which include a guest speaker and morning tea for the 50 who attend. The Naracoorte Bowls Club has also worked in with St Vinnies Naracoorte in providing a safe car park for their outlet.

The support that we have received from local businesses has allowed us to have our clubrooms painted by G Wyers, making the venue perfect for bookings, including Quiz Nights, Xmas

Shows, Wakes, Company Promotion events to name a few and with first time visitors always pleased with the facilities available. We would like to thank the Naracoorte Community News for their support of not only our club, but all the other sporting groups The News gives to.
