By Michael Waters Griffin moved up to third spot on the ladder when they beat bottom team Goblin 9-3 on Monday night. Griffin Steve Lawrie won 3 singles, Simon Smith won 2 singles and Kevin Schulz won 1 single. Kevin’s win came when he played his son, Dom Schultz, and Kevin needed 5 sets to come out on top, the scores were 5-11, 11-3, 4-11, 11-8, 4-11. Similar scores in another 5 set match came in the middle doubles, with Steve Biggins and Dom Schultz up against Steve Lawrie and Kevin Schultz, Kevin and Steve Lawrie taking the points in another close 5 set match, 11-13, 7-11, 11-5, 11-4, 4-11. Griffin ended up winning all three doubles. Troll had a convincing win when they accounted for Medusa, winning all 3 doubles as they stormed home with a 10-2 win.
