McBride praises Picton visit

By Chris Oldfield. AN $8 million program for the Naracoorte Hospital includes many improvements, but not the full cost of a maternity section upgrade. However, together with a $1 million review of health services, Member for MacKillop Nick McBride remains “excited about health” following a recent visit by Health Minister Chris Picton. He also hopes future funding will improve all hospitals in the MacKillop electorate rather than just “a Taj Mahal at Naracoorte”. Speaking at the August 11, Limestone Coast Local Government Association meeting, Mr McBride praised the recent whirlwind tour by SA Health Minister Chris Picton. The tour took in whistlestop visits to Keith, Bordertown, Naracoorte and Mount Gambier, on August 9. The following day included tours at Millicent, Kingston and Meningie Hospitals.
