The two in form sides of the Division One competition delivered the high quality game that everyone thought they would with Penola taking a slight lead at quarter time. Incredibly accurate shooting from Lythgo saw this lead extend to six at half time. Pink was crucial for her side as they continued to fight in the second half, but Penola maintained their composure as they pushed the difference out to nine at three quarter time. Despite Kingston winning the final quarter, it was not enough to stop Penola as they finished winners by eight goals, 49 to 41, booking their spot in the Grand Final.
