By Georgia Gill In Focus – Division Three Fifth placed Border Districts hosted fourth placed Lucindale and after an incredibly even first half the two sides could not be split sitting on 17 goals apiece. Led by Mahney and Sambell in goals, Borders came out firing in the third term shooting 13 goals to four as they pushed out to a handy lead going into the last quarter. Another evenly contested quarter in the final term ensured the margin remained similar with Borders running away winners by 10 goals, 34 to 24. Despite the result, Penola remain in fourth spot on the ladder with Borders moving one win clear of sixth place Penola to stay in fifth.
